Ann was probably his sister. William was in Scituate in 1673; came probably from Marshfield, where Anna James and family were by 1650.

MA, at age unknown.(88) She was christened May 18, 1602
in Terling, Essex, England.(89)
Samuel Deane, in his History of Scituate, Massachusetts says he "arrived with his family in Plymouth in 1628." That statement is
put in doubt by the record of the baptism of his daughter Lydia in Little Baddow, in Essex, on 17 February 1629/30. Deane says he had a
house lot assigned to him in 1629, and built a house and resided there until probably 1633, when his house lot on Kent Street, "4th from
the corner of Satuit brook", was layed out. Perhaps he built his first house, and then sent for his wife and young children. He erected a
tannery in 1636, and was thereafter frequently mentioned in the public records.
Eugene Stratton, in Plymouth Colony Its
History & People 1620-1691, listed him among those who had been freemen before 1 January 1632/3, and on the 1633 and 1634 tax lists of
Plymouth Colony. Humphrey, Lydia his wife, and John the elder, John the younger, and Thomas, sons of Humphrey, and Lydia, his daughter
appear in a list of 1627-1634 arrivals.
Deane quotes from his will, which named his children, in this order: "John, Joseph,
young son John, Daniel, Nathaniel, Thomas, daughter Mary Parker -- daughter Lydia Doughty -- Grandchildren, Humphrey (son of Thomas) Mary
Doughty -- Jonathan, Joseph and Ezekiel (sons of John, sen.) and Abigail, daughter of Nathaniel." Executors were Nathaniel and young son
John.
Humphrey Turner and Lydia Gaymer had the following children:
-
41
i.
John4 Turner was born in Terling, Essex, England before March 24, 1621/2
(chr. date). John died at age unknown. He married Mary Brewster November 12, 1645 in Scituate,
MA. Mary was born. Mary died at age unknown.

the vital records of Scituate.
-
43
iii.
Thomas Turner was born before 1635.(93)
Thomas died November 1688 in Scituate, MA, at age 53.(94)

Sarah died at age unknown.
-
45
vi.

Joseph Turner was born in First Parish Ch., Scituate, MA January 1, 1636/7.(100) Joseph died November 1, 1715 in Scituate, MA, at age 78.(101) Jacob Turner's 1852 Genealogy says he never married.
48. Lydia5 Gaymer was born in Terling, Essex,
England before May 18, 1602 (chr. date). Lydia died before 1673 in Scituate, MA, at age unknown.(105)
She married Humphrey Turner October 24, 1618 in Sandon, Essex, England.(106) Humphrey was born on an estimated date of 1593 in England.
(Additional notes for Humphrey Turner(107)) Humphrey died
June 5, 1673 in Scituate, Plymouth Co, MA, at age 79. (See Humphrey Turner for the children resulting from
this marriage.)
She was christened May 18, 1602 in Terling, Essex, England.(108)
Although there is no document that connects the daughter of Richard and Margaret Gaymer
of Terling to the Lydia Gamar who was married in Sandon, the circumstantial evidence is strong. No other Lydia Ga-m-r of an appropriate age
is known. The orphaned Lydia would very likely have married soon after her sixteenth birthday. The Turners came to Terling to baptize their
son, John. It may be noteworthy, however, that the couple apparently named no child after either of the Gaymers.
49. an unknown5 Hudson of Yorkshire birth date unknown. An died at
age unknown.
John G. Hunt's article (T.A.G. 40:230) reports some hints about Ralph's background: "In Calendar of Ancient Deeds, Letters
and Miscellaneous Documents, Kingston upon Hull (1951), at page 161, letter no. 48 is an application dated 27 Apr. 1586 from D. Richard
Hudson for appointment as deputy to Mr. [Thomas] Thwing [of Heworth], the assessor of the Admiralty Court at Hull. This Mr. Thwing of
Heworth is named in Joseph Foster's edition of Robert Glover's Visitation of Yorkshire, page 230. As this Thomas has a sister
Katherine, wife of Ralph Thwenge of Heslarton, there may have been a connection with John Thwing of Hull ..." "It should be noted that
Porter, op. cit., page 535, gives a pedigree of Hudson of Normanby, listing one Raphe Hudson of that parish, aged 21 years in 1612. The
question is, was he the Ralph who came to New England in 1635 aged 42? Despite a small disparity in age, the possibility exists. If born in
1592, Ralph could have been styled aged 21 in 1612, and 42 in 1635. Normanby is some ten miles west of Heslarton ..."
Betty
Brandt lists, without supporting citation, two possible brothers of Ralph Hudson: John Hudson, born 1613, died in Massachusetts. Married
Mary, born 1620. Child: Samuel Hudson, born 1649, Boston, MA. William Hudson, called a brother or near relative of Ralph. Married Sarah.
William served with the rank of Ensign in Colonel Rainborow's Regiment of the Parliamentary Army. Governor John Leverett, who married Ralph
Hudson's daughter Hannah, was a Captain in Colonel Rainborow's Regiment. Children: __i. William Hudson. _ii. Frances Hudson. iii. Nathaniel
Hudson, born Jan. 30, 1633, Boston, MA. Married December 1, 1659, Elizabeth, daughter of William and Mary Alford of Boston, MA.

Ralph Hudson, a woolen draper, came to New England in April, 1635, in
the ship "Susan and Ellen". The passenger list called him aged 42, accompanied by Mary, aged 42, uxor, Hannah, aged 14, Eliza, aged 5,
John, aged 12, their children. Also aboard were Benjamin Thwing, aged 16, Ann Gibson, aged 31, Judith Kirk, aged 18, Jo. Morcage, aged 41,
and Henry Knowles, aged 25, servants of Ralph Hudson.
Researcher Betty Brandt reported him to have been of Cambridge,
Massachusetts, February 8, 1635/6. He was admitted to the Church there April 17, 1636. He was made freeman May 25, 1636.
In
1638, feeling his mortality some thirteen years before his actual death, he made his will: "The last will of Ralph Hudson being now in

Leverett, James Penne
The terms of taht will seem to clearly indicate that in 1638, his only living child was Hannah. Elizabeth must have died on the voyage or
upon arrival. John, listed out of age order on the passenger list among Ralph's children, must have been the minor brother named in the
will.
