First Generation

1. John1 Stodder(1) was born in England. John died December 19, 1661 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age unknown.(2)

He married Tabitha Rogers November 26, 1627 in Terling, Essex, England.(3) Tabitha was born circa 1605 in probably, Essex, England. Tabitha died before 1661 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age unknown.(4)

John's estate was probated 31 January 1661 in Suffolk Co, MA. He made a will 20 November 1661 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony. He had a grant of land in Hingham in 1638. Savage says he was not the John Stodder who came on the ship "Diligent" in 1638. He associated with the church in Hingham, whose members were known as rigid Puritans. When he was made a freeman on 18 May 1642, Savage says he was called "of Hull." Savage mentions family recollection of a widow named Ann, but no historical document is known to mention her.

2. John2 Stodder (John1) was born in Terling, Essex, England, before October 30, 1628 (chr. date). John died December 20, 1708 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age 80.

He married Hannah Bryant December 13, 1665 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony.(15) Hannah was born circa 1645. (Additional notes for Hannah Bryant(16)) Hannah died November 17, 1702 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age 57.(17)

He was christened October 30, 1628 in Terling, Essex, England.(18)

3. Elizabeth2 Stodder (John1)(19) was born in Terling, Essex, England, before January 16, 1630/1 (chr. date). Elizabeth died September 14, 1658 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age 27.(20)

She married John Low (of Hingham) February 28, 1648/9 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony.(21) John was born circa 1620. (Additional notes for John Low (of Hingham)(22)) John died date unknown in maybe, Hingham, MA, at age unknown.

She was christened January 16, 1630/1 in Terling, Essex, England.(23)

Elizabeth Stodder and John Low (of Hingham) had the following children:

7. Samuel2 Stodder (John1)(32) was born in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, before June 14, 1640 (chr. date). Samuel died September 16, 1731 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age 91.

He married twice. He married Elizabeth Gill February 6, 1666/7 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony.(33) Elizabeth was born circa June 1647 (chr. date) in Hingham, Plymouth Colony. (Additional notes for Elizabeth Gill(34)) Elizabeth died May 8, 1693 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony, at age 45. She was christened June 1647 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony. He married Martha Beal January 12, 1698/9 in Hingham, Plymouth Colony. Martha was born before August 2, 1646 (chr. date) in Hingham, Plymouth Colony.
