maybe around 1641.
William Marcum's transport to Virginia was paid for by Bryan Stott (or Scott), who on 10 July 1663 for transport of 16 persons was granted
800 acres at the north side of Lancaster County, bounding upon land of John Simpson.(1)
William was probably a resident in Middlesex Co, VA when it was created in 1673 from Lancaster County.

parent is speculated, based on location and same name. William died probably in 1720 or 1721 at age 41.
He married twice. He married Elizabeth (Marcum). (Elizabeth (Marcum) is #9043.) Elizabeth was born
probably before 1683. Elizabeth died 9 Oct 1713 in Middlesex Co, VA, at age 30.(2) Her remains were interred 11 Oct 1713 at Christ Church in Middlesex Co, VA.(3) He married Elizabeth Wharton 9 Jan 1714
in Christ Church, Middlesex Co, VA.(4) (Elizabeth Wharton is
#9047.) Elizabeth was born probably before 1697. Elizabeth remarried to Thomas Gilinwater 12 Nov 1721 in Christ Church,
Middlesex Co, VA.(5)
In 1714 William Marcum of Middlesex Co. VA proved in court the will of Thomas Goddin in Middlesex Co, VA.(6)
