falling from his head, and fastened to his belt; both kneeling in the attitude of prayer, with the following inscription: 'Here lye Interred
ye bodies of Ellis Markham Esquier, Justice of peace and quorum in ye countie of Nottingham, and Gervase Markham, his sonne, Captain of ye
horse in ye said countie; who long served her Majestie in her warres with extraordinarie proofe in Irelande and ye lowe Countries. Jervase
Markham depated this life the 17th Daye of Januarie, 1636.'"

ever blessed memory." He married Hester Weaver. Hester was the daughter of Christopher Weaver.
Hester died after 1673 at age unknown.
