Rowan Co, NC, at age 59.
James Butner appeared as a witness at a grand jury hearing investigating Micajah Plummer for stealing Adam Butner's horse August
1750 in Frederick Co, MD.(1) From this event are speculated his
parents, and his birth date 21 years before.
James Butner had the following child:
Edward2 Butner of Rowan Co. was born in probably, Rowan Co, NC August
1777. He married Polly Parks November 17, 1802 in Rowan Co, NC.(2) Polly was born circa 1780. Polly died at age unknown.
In Rowan County Court, on 5 May 1789, Edward Butner, 11 yrs.9 mos., orphan of James Butner deceased, was bound to Philip Hendricks until 21
