Collector Buck of New Hampshire had the following children:

• 3 ii. Mary Buck of Portsmouth (#8799) was born probably before 1769. In the 1790 Census, Mary was listed as a head of household with a boy and 3 more women in Portsmouth, Rockingham Co, NH.⁽²⁾

• 4 iii. Amasa Buck of Bath (#8044) was born before 1774. In the 1790 Census, Amasa was listed as a head of household with 4 boys under 16 and 3 women in Bath, Grafton Co, NH.⁽³⁾

  He is probably the Revolutionary War soldier who is buried in Bath.

  A query in NEHGR suggests he came from Connecticut.

He married Mary (Polly) Johnson June 1, 1805 in Charlestown, Cheshire Co, NH.⁽¹²⁾ (Mary (Polly) Johnson is #8802.) Mary was born in 1788.⁽¹³⁾

Samuel Buck's book says, "Moses Buck, son of Thomas, bn. in 1781, md. Polly Johnson, bn. in 1788, resided in Chestertown, Rockingham Co., N.H. (with wife, 2 sons and dau. in 1790 census),"⁽¹⁴⁾ and then names the 10 children of Moses and Polly. Clearly, Mr. Samuel Buck was confused, since the nine year old Moses and two year old Polly could not have been the family of Moses Buck recorded in the 1790 census. This anomaly, therefore, leaves unclear just which of the two Moses Bucks is claimed to have a father named Thomas (and a sister named Esther, b. 1753).

Moses Buck and Mary (Polly) Johnson had the following children:

• 14 ii. Mary Ann Buck (#8804) was born in 1809.⁽¹⁶⁾ She married Mr. Young.⁽¹⁷⁾ (Mr. Young is #8805.) Mr. Young was born about 1809 (if same age as wife).

• 15 iii. Clarinda Buck (#8806) was born in 1811.⁽¹⁸⁾ Clarinda died in 1850 at 39 years of age.⁽¹⁹⁾

• 16 iv. Gilman Buck (#8807) was born in 1813.⁽²⁰⁾ Gilman died in 1884 at 71 years of age.⁽²¹⁾

  Samuel Buck's book says he went to Maryland and had two sons and a daughter.

• 17 v. Arnold Buck (#8808) was born in 1815.⁽²²⁾ Arnold died in 1830 at 15 years of age.⁽²³⁾

18. Sabrina H.³ Buck (Moses², Collector¹) (#8809) was born in Dalton, Coos Co, NH in 1818.⁽³⁰⁾

She married Azel Gay in 1841.⁽³¹⁾ (Azel Gay is #8816.) Azel was born in 1815.⁽³²⁾ Azel died in 1878 at 63 years of age.⁽³³⁾ Azel settled with his new wife in Rochester, Stafford Co, NH before 1842.⁽³⁴⁾

Sabrina H. Buck and Azel Gay had the following children:

• 23 i. Susan M.⁴ Gay (#8817) was born in Rochester, Stafford Co, NH in 1842.⁽³⁵⁾

• 24 ii. Charles Hiram Gay (#8818) was born in Rochester, Stafford Co, NH in 1844.⁽³⁶⁾ Charles died January 29, 1922 in Utica, Oneida Co, NY, at 77 years of age.⁽³⁷⁾
