He married Lydia Morse Oct 9, 1742.⁽¹⁹⁾ (Lydia Morse is #4754.) Lydia was born Aug 1718. Lydia was the daughter of Philip Morse and Mary Brown. Lydia died Dec 15, 1789 at 71 years of age.

He was christened Dec 31, 1727 in Haverhill, Essex Co, MA.⁽²⁰⁾ The History of Haverhill states, "In 1759 Jonathan Buck was granted certain rights in Mill Brook. M. Buck lived, while in this town, in the gambrel roofed house nearly opposite the residence of Deacon Samuel Chase on Water Street, and which was afterward occupied by his son who was quite a famous hunter."⁽²¹⁾

On August 9, 1762, he removed from Haverhill to Plantation No. 1, on the Penobscot River, Maine. This township was named Buckstown in honor of him. It was incorporated June 27, 1792, and has since changed its name to Bucksport.⁽²²⁾

Amos moved with his family around 1820 to Reading, PA.⁽⁸⁶⁾ Subsequently he opened a store in Lebanon. Soon after his marriage, he "returned to Reading and engaged in canal transportation business."

Amos moved with his family 1837 to Russelville, Alabama.
