He married Abigail Irish February 8, 1777. (Abigail Irish is #91.) Abigail was born December 24, 1746 in Gorham, ME.⁽²⁾ Abigail was the daughter of John Irish and Sarah (Irish). Abigail died July 20, 1824 in Woodstock, MA, at 77 years of age.⁽³⁾

John moved with his family around March 1779 to Buckfield.⁽⁴⁾ John was listed on the 1790 Census as the head of a family age 16+, with one white male under 16 and six females in Bucktown Plantation, Cumberland Co, ME.⁽⁵⁾ In the 1800 Census, John was listed as a head of household in Cumberland Co, ME.⁽⁶⁾ He and his wife were age 45+, with a woman 26-44, a young man and two young women 16-25, a boy and three girls 10-15, and a girl under age 10.

In the 1820 Census, Levi was listed as a head of household engaged in agriculture in Buckfield, Oxford Co, ME.⁽¹³⁾ He was age 26-44, with another man 26-44, a young woman 16-25 and a boy 10-15.

Abijah died March 1, 1847 in Woodstock, ME, at 77 years of age. Abijah settled in Buckfield, Cumberland Co, ME in 1793.⁽¹⁹⁾ In the 1820 Census, Abijah was listed as a head of household in Buckfield, Oxford Co, ME.⁽²⁰⁾ He and his wife were age 45+, with a woman 26-44, two young men and a young woman 16-25, two boys 16-17, a boy and two girls 10-15, and a boy under age 10. Two persons were engaged in agriculture.

He married Marietta Coburn. (Marietta Coburn is #911.) Marietta was born February 16, 1808. Marietta died August 27, 1877 at 69 years of age. Marietta was buried at TransAlpine Cemetery in Lincoln, Penobscot Co, ME.⁽⁴⁴⁾

25. Luther³ Turner (Mary (Polly)² Buck, John¹)⁽⁴⁵⁾ (#22) was born in Buckfield, Oxford Co, ME September 9, 1809. Luther died December 15, 1881 in Lawrence, MA, at 72 years of age.

He married Anceline (Emeline) Hawes June 29, 1834 in Canton, Norfolk Co, MA. (Anceline (Emeline) Hawes is #23.) Anceline was born July 20, 1815 in Canton, Norfolk Co, MA. Anceline was the daughter of Samuel Hawes and Hannah Henry. Anceline died after 1900 in probably, Massachusetts. Anceline was listed as Harriet Elecina Turner's mother in the 1900 Census in 71-E Centre St, Boston, MA. In June of 1834 he was residing in Stoughton, MA, when he was married in the adjacent town of Canton. By 1837, the couple had settled near the town of Lincoln, in Penobscot County, ME. In 1846, he purchased Lot 39 in South Lincoln. There, he was a farmer, but during most of the time that he lived in Lincoln he devoted much time to hunting on Mattamiscontis Stream and elsewhere, and for several years when the wild pigeons were flying in enormous flights he netted them and sent them by express to the Bangor and other markets in countless thousands. After 1876, the couple lived with his daughter in Lawrence, MA, until his death.

Luther Turner and Anceline (Emeline) Hawes had the following children:

• 46 iii. Joseph Oscar Turner⁽⁴⁶⁾ (#337) was born in Lincoln, Penobscot Co, ME February 4, 1840. He joined Company I of the 6th Maine Infantry, when it was formed at Portland, Maine in July, 1861. The service of this regiment is recounted in History of Penobscot County Maine. They arrived in Washington, D.C., July 19, 1861, and were stationed at Chain Bridge on the Potomac River until September 3. They spent the fall and winter at Fort Griffin, Virginia. The regiment joined the campaign against Yorktown on April 4, 1862. They were engaged in reconnoitering on the 5th through 7th, and skirmished with the enemy several times. On the 16th, at the battle of Lee's Mills, they supported the artillery and were exposed to a heavy fire from enemy batteries. On May 5, they took a prominent part in the battle of Williamsburg. From May 9 to 24, the regiment was on the march up the Peninsula toward Richmond. They camped near the Chickahominy River, which they crossed on June 5, and were engaged on June 27 at Garnet's Farm, where their casualties were one killed and 23 wounded.

45. Harriet Elecina⁴ Turner (Luther³, Mary (Polly)² Buck, John¹)⁽⁵³⁾ (#163) was born in Lincoln, Penobscot Co, ME February 16, 1838. Harriet died February 9, 1918 in Haverhill, Essex Co, MA, at 79 years of age.

She married Johnathan Roberts Spencer February 14, 1858. (Johnathan Roberts Spencer is #162.) Johnathan was born March 16, 1828 in Maine. (Additional notes for Johnathan Roberts Spencer⁽⁵⁴⁾) Johnathan died before 1900.

He married Margaret F. Lely October 26, 1871 in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO.⁽⁵⁵⁾ (Margaret F. Lely is #341.) Margaret was born July 6, 1857 in Chicago, Cook Co, IL.⁽⁵⁶⁾ Margaret was the daughter of (MaggiesDad) Lely and (BobSis MagMom) Gillmore. Margaret died September 4, 1922 in Rawlins, Carbon Co, WY, at 65 years of age.⁽⁵⁷⁾

49. Flora Anceline⁴ Turner (Luther³, Mary (Polly)² Buck, John¹) (#11) was born in Lincoln, Penobscot Co, ME April 18, 1846. Flora died August 23, 1923 in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO, at 77 years of age.⁽⁵⁸⁾ Flora was buried August 26, 1923 in Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, CO.⁽⁵⁹⁾

She married Robert Allingham Gillmore April 2, 1870 in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO.⁽⁶⁰⁾ (Robert Allingham Gillmore is #10.) Robert was born October 16, 1841 in Co. Sligo, Ireland. Robert⁽⁶¹⁾ was the son of Humphrey Gillmor and Margaret Allingham. Robert died December 7, 1907 in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO, at 66 years of age.⁽⁶²⁾ Robert was buried December 10, 1907 in Fowler, Pueblo Co, CO.⁽⁶³⁾ Robert was employed.

Flora Anceline Turner and Robert Allingham Gillmore had the following children:

• 73 i. Adrian A. (Ed)⁵ Gillmore (#901) was born in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO February 1871. Adrian died 1947 in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO, at 76 years of age. He married Myrtle M. Tucker December 25, 1893 in Bessemer, Pueblo Co, CO.⁽⁶⁴⁾ (Myrtle M. Tucker is #902.) Myrtle was born May 1875 in Kansas. (Additional notes for Myrtle M. Tucker⁽⁶⁵⁾) Myrtle died in probably, Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO. Article in Pueblo Star-Jounal Dec 27, 1951, giving history of Nepesta, states "The son (of R.A.Gilmore) Adrian (Ed), born in 1871, remained until his death in 1947, in the Nepesta settlement. Surviving him are his sons, Harry and Elmore, and his only sister, Mrs. Ellen Thomas, now of Colorado Springs."

• 74 ii. Margaret Viola Gillmore (#5) was born in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO October 15, 1872. Margaret died after 1936 in Tacoma, WA. She married Edward Burton Clark circa 1891. (Edward Burton Clark is #4.) Edward was born June 5, 1857 in West Point, Orange Co, NY.⁽⁶⁶⁾ Edward⁽⁶⁷⁾ was the son of Christopher Clark and Leut or Sint Kuin. Edward died influenza, with bronchial asthma April 24, 1923 3 mi. N. of Mancos in Mancos, Montezuma Co, CO, at 65 years of age.⁽⁶⁸⁾ Edward was buried 1923 in Rico, Dolores Co, CO.⁽⁶⁹⁾ Edward moved to Colorado around 1889.⁽⁷⁰⁾

  His death certificate states that, in 1923, he had resided in the state of Colorado for 34 years - this would indicate his arrival in 1889. The 32 years between his birth in New York and his western arrival remain a mystery.

  After serving as Clerk and Treasurer of Dolores County, he retired to a ranch three miles north of Mancos, Colorado. At the age of 65, he died there of influenza, complicated by the bronchial asthma he had suffered for the last twenty five years of his life.

• 77 v. Ellen Gillmore (#2151) was born in Nepesta, Pueblo Co, CO July 1880. She married Chester Thomas. (Chester Thomas is #2152.)

50. Hannah Hawes⁴ Turner (Luther³, Mary (Polly)² Buck, John¹) (#171) was born in Lincoln, Penobscot Co, ME August 26, 1848.
