been John and Hannah. According to a passenger list of April 5, 1635, now in London, he came to New England on the ship "Planter". Since
many of the other emigrants on that vessel were from St. Albans in Hertfordshire, many researchers had speculated that he had come from
there. After his arrival, he stayed in Boston for three years, and then settled in Mt. Wallaston, later called Braintree, in an area that is
now in Quincy.
