Garrett Deweese Arrowood (born August 29, 1825) wrote a record of his parents, brothers and sisters, and children, dated November 17, 1880. It was recopied, on lined notebook paper, by his daughter, Sarah Montana Arrowood Gardner, February 12, 1940.

The Old Father and Mother were Both Natives of Rethford Co. North Carolina as I Believe. Mother was Buried in Yancy Co. North Carolina 1 mile East of Burnsville.
My Father Buried in Same County in Pensacola Settlement.
