1. Bartley C.¹ Arrowood, son of James Arrowood and Elizabeth Britton, was born in North Carolina 12 June 1830.⁽¹⁾ See his father's family for more information. Bartley died 31 March 1900 in Murray Co, GA, at age 69.⁽²⁾ His body was interred at Sumach Presbyterian Church in Murray Co, GA.

He married Catherine Proffit before 2 Oct 1850 in probably, Yancey Co, NC. Catherine was born 4 Feb 1833 in North Carolina.⁽³⁾ Catherine died 16 Sept 1903 in Georgia, at age 70.⁽⁴⁾ She was listed as George Arrowood's mother in the 1900 Census in Murray Co, GA.⁽⁵⁾

In the Census of 1850, Bartley was listed as a head of household in Yancey Co, NC.⁽⁶⁾ In the Census of 1860, Bartley was listed as a head of household in Howell Co, MO.⁽⁷⁾ In the 1880 Census, Bartley was listed as a head of household 12 June 1880 in Murray Co, GA.⁽⁸⁾

• 5 iv. Martha Jane Arrowood was born in Murray Co, GA 2 Feb 1862. Martha died 3 April 1942 in Murray Co, GA, at age 80. She married G. H. Humphries circa 1892 in Murray Co, GA.

• 6 v. Mary E. (Liza) Arrowood was born in Murray Co, GA 13 April 1865. Mary died 29 April 1927 in Spring Place, Murray Co, GA, at age 62. Her body was interred at Sumach Presbyterian Church in Murray Co, GA. She married Charlie J. Ward 6 Dec 1888 in Murray Co, GA.

• 8 vii. John Arrowood was born in Georgia circa 1872. John died in Texas, at age unknown.

• 9 viii. George Arrowood was born in Georgia Sept 1874. In the 1900 Census, George was listed as a head of household 7 June 1900 in Murray Co, GA.⁽⁹⁾ The 1880 census recorded that George, age 5, had "one leg useless."

2. William Garrett² Arrowood (Bartley C.¹) was born in Yancey Co, NC 12 Sept 1852. William died 10 Dec 1939 in Whitfield Co, GA, at age 87.

He married Nancy Cadona (Arrowood) circa 1877. Nancy was born Sept 1859 in Georgia.

In the 1880 Census, William was listed as a head of household 12 June 1880 in Murray Co, GA.⁽¹⁰⁾ In the 1900 Census, William was listed as a head of household 13 June 1900 in Whitfield Co, GA.⁽¹¹⁾

4. Charles Clements² Arrowood (Bartley C.¹) was born in probably, Howell Co, MO May 1860. Charles died in Texas, at age unknown.

He married Mary E. (Arrowood) circa 1885. Mary was born Sep 1868 in South Carolina.

7. James Franklin² Arrowood (Bartley C.¹) was born in Murray Co, GA 6 July 1869. James died 7 Aug 1947 in Murray Co, GA, at age 78.

He married Anna Bell Pedin circa 1892. Anna was born Dec 1874 in Murray Co, GA. Anna died 10 Dec 1945 in Georgia, at age 70.

James Franklin Arrowood and Anna Bell Pedin had the following children:

21. Claude Martin³ Arrowood (James Franklin², Bartley C.¹) was born in Georgia Sept 1894. Claude died 1986 in Georgia, at age 91.

He married Lucille Plemons.

Claude Martin Arrowood and Lucille Plemons had the following children:

22. Lela Olive³ Arrowood (James Franklin², Bartley C.¹) was born in Murray Co, GA 2 Oct 1897.

She married George B. Gregory.

On 4 April 1997 she sent a letter to researcher Shirley Borden listing the descendants of Bartley Arrowood.

Lela Olive Arrowood and George B. Gregory had the following child:

• 26 i. Kenna Vivian⁴ Gregory was born 1920. Kenna died 1989 at age 69.
